Beautiful
honey - almost mead-like- aromas. The palate has dveloped some real richness
and texture. There is still quite a lemony freshness. And, the familiar
petrol of aging riesling is present, but well integrated. last tasted December 1, 2004 |
| 2001 | cool fermentation
using two yeast strains to enhance varietal aromatics / after a longer
than usual fermentation, the wine was racked keeping the two wines separate
/ when cold stabalization was complete, the wines were blended and allowed
to "marry" before bottling tasting notes at bottling pale straw colour with aromas of citrus, mineral, yellow plum and white peach / the palate is dry and citrusy with a crsip finish of lemon and mineral making this a very refreshing wine with great balance |

/ taste: very dry, lemon-lime, grapefruit flavour with good length with
